Paramount Tall Club of Chicago (PTC) and Tall Club International (TCI) Scholarships
Paramount Tall Club of Chicago (PTC) through the Paramount Foundation (a 501c(3) corporation – ID number 36-4314104) awards one $750 scholarship to a graduating high school senior who lives in the Chicagoland area and meets the height requirements of the club. The PTC scholarship is to be used toward tuition expenses and will be paid directly to the college or university that the recipient will attend. The recipient of the PTC local scholarship may be nominated by PTC to be considered by Tall Clubs International (TCI) for its $1000 Kae Sumner Einfeldt scholarship.
To apply for the local PTC scholarship, a student must meet our minimum height requirements of 5’10” for females and 6’2” for males, be a graduating high school senior, and plan to attend either a 2-year or 4-year college this fall.
The 2010 PTC application is available on our website at: http://www.tallchicago.org. In an effort to reduce our mailing costs, we request that you print out the application and applicable instructions and make them available to any interested and qualified graduating senior at your school. Also, see http://www.tall.org for additional information.
Applications must be postmarked no later than February 5, 2010.
The PTC Scholarship Committee will review each application and select several finalists for a personal interview. Applicants invited for the interview will be contacted by telephone by late February. The interviews will take place early in March at a public location in the Chicago area convenient to the finalists. The height of all finalists will be measured. Applicants must meet the club's height requirements to be eligible for the scholarship. There will be no exceptions.
